Brunei Darussalam's Residential Property Price Index for the third quarter of 2025, was at 88.7, showing a decrease of 5.2 per cent year-on-year, and a drop of 8.1 per cent compared to the second quarter 2025. 

 

The Brunei Darussalam Central Bank, BDCB index data is compiled using data sourced from the banks in Brunei Darussalam, and is published with close cooperation from the Ministry of Development, in particular the Authority for Building Control and Construction Industry, ABCi.

 

Based on mortgage data obtained from banks, there were 187 transactions for private residential properties in third quarter 2025, indicating an increase of 28.1 per cent compared to second quarter; and an increase of 39.6 per cent compared to a year ago. The majority of the transactions were for detached houses, followed by terrace houses, semi-detached houses, apartments, and land.

 

In terms of location, the majority of properties purchased were in the Brunei Muara District, followed by the Tutong District, and the Belait District. No properties were purchased in the Temburong District in third quarter. Mukim Kilanas was among the mukims that recorded the most purchases of private residential properties in third quarter.
